The Front Page

Royal Oak Youth Football and Cheer. Welcome to the Royal Oak Chargers website. We are here to give children between the ages of 5 to 13 the opportunity to play football or cheer. There are 4 levels.  Flag is for 5-7-year olds. Tackle has a Freshman squad, 8-9-year olds,  a JV squad for 10-11-year olds, and Varsity 12-13-year olds. Please review our age and weight guidelines. Our program is instructional (all children get play time) and competitive. The typical season consists of 7 regular season games, 2 rounds of playoffs and a Super Bowl. Cheer has a Cheer Off which is equivalent to a Super Bowl for the cheerleaders. Games are played on Saturday or Sunday and practice is typically 5 to 7 Monday through Friday and 5 to 7 Tuesday through Friday once school starts.
